The Society was founded to collect, protect, preserve, display, and further the preservation of items and documents of historical value and significance from the Lake Elsinore Valley.
The Lake Elsinore Historical Society was conceived and organized in 1996. Today, there is a museum in historic downtown Lake Elsinore. It is located in the basement of the City of Lake Elsinore's Cultural Center at 183 North Main Street. The Museum is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The Lake Elsinore Historical Society is a nonprofit organization under Internal Revenue Code, Section 501(c)3.
