Great Falls Ice Plex

The mission of the Great Falls Community Ice Foundation is to provide affordable hockey, figure skating, and recreational skating for the greatest number of citizens, young or old, and for all skill levels.

Thousands of area residents benefit from skating lessons, team sports, public skating or the chance to watch the Great Falls Americans play. Skaters have the chance to hone their skills and compete while learning sportsmanship, teamwork. The ice sports also encourage fitness and wellness all winter.

The rink is home to a large youth hockey program, adult hockey leagues for men and women and the Great Falls Figure Skating Club, which includes skaters of all ages and skating abilities. The IcePlex also provides space for programs with area non-profits like EagleMount, as well as school programs.

During the 2013-2014 season, all of the ice programs saw increased participation and media coverage. The GFCIF also worked to increase community awareness and opportunity at the rink by hosting it's first Community Day in March. The event brought some families, including those from Malmstrom Air Force Base to the rink for the first time. We're hoping to make it an annual event to be able to introduce more of the community to ice sports.

The rink closes for the summer and during that time, the GFCIF will be making as many repairs as possible to keep the rink running smoothly next season. As long as we can keep the rink functioning, we can continue to be a place for ice sports and community events.
