Mission :
DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre fosters and inspires growth, creativity, responsibility and an appreciation for live theatre in people of all ages and cultures through an educational theatre arts program.
About Us:
DreamWrights Center for Community Arts, located in York, PA, offers an interactive performance arts experience for the entire family.
A non-profit organization founded in 1997, DreamWrights was created by a group of families who believed that participation in a quality theatre education program would have a profound and valuable impact on their children.
They shared a vision of a youth theatre where families could work together on all aspects of a production. They wanted to make sure that this experience was affordable and available to everyone. As they worked together on theatre performances, they noticed that amazing things were happening. Their children were becoming more confident, more responsible, more tolerant, more curious and more resourceful. Not only were the children learning about every aspect of live theatre, and how all the parts fit together to make a whole...they were also sharing, making new friends and laughing!
While the organization continues to grow and offer new interactive and educational experiences for the entire family, the common vision of quality theatre education for all ages has never changed.
The generous support of individual members and business sponsors is an important part of DreamWrights ability to offer dynamic and interactive programs for the communities we serve.
