Audubon Community Nature Center

1600 Riverside Road
Jamestown, NY 14701

716-569-2345

The Audubon Center and Sanctuary is owned and operated by Jamestown Audubon Society, Inc. whose mission is to connect people to nature and promote environmentally responsible practices through education at its center & sanctuary, and in the community.

Our facilities include over five miles of beautifully maintained trails on a 600-acre wetland preserve that includes a native tree arboretum and several educational gardens. Our 3-story nature center building contains a nature store, a small collection of live animals including  fish, reptiles and amphibians, and interactive displays that inform and engage visitors of all ages. In addition, we care for a non-releasable bald eagle named Liberty, who provides us with many teaching and learning opportunities.

It is our hope that visitors will feel a deeper connection to the natural world and a deeper sense of wanting to care for it as a result of their visit to our Center.
