Get Your Bike Ready to Ride!

Posted on 04/02/24 by Mary Michaels

Riding a bike isn't just for kids. It's a great way to boost your health, run errands, save money on transportation and connect with others.

AARP South Dakota and Falls Area Bicyclists want to help you get ready for a fun summer of bicycling with three spring events designed to provide both fun and education.

If you’re in Sioux Falls, you know about the great recreational trail that circles the community…but have you ridden the entire loop? Falls Area Bicyclists will host its annual “Trail Challenge” in August, but to help get you ready, we’re teaming up with them in April, May and June for group rides and bike safety education.

The next event is Saturday, May 18, starting at 9 a.m. The group ride, which begins at Active Generations Main (2300 W. 46th Street), will be followed by refreshments and a conversation about bike safety.

Please note: participants must provide their own bicycle and helmet.
