AARP Kansas Names New Volunteer State President
AARP Kansas is pleased to announce the appointment of a new state president. Tracee Adams, Wichita, will serve as the volunteer leader for the state’s more than 270,000 members and hundreds of volunteers across Kansas.
“We’re thrilled to have someone with Tracee’s experience and talent serve as our volunteer state president,” said AARP Kansas State Director Glenda DuBoise. “She will be a great advocate for Kansans as well as a great asset to AARP as we help make our state a better place to live for all ages.”
Adams serves as founder and chief strategist at Hawthorn Capital LLC, an investment and wealth management firm located in Wichita. She has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry.
An active AARP Kansas volunteer for the past seven years, Adams is currently co-chair of the AARP Wichita Leadership Council and is involved in developing and participating in AARP events and activities in Wichita. With her appointment as volunteer state president, Adams will lead volunteers in AARP’s work across the state.

“I’m excited to serve our state as AARP Volunteer State President,” said Adams. “I look forward to exploring new opportunities to make our communities in Kansas more vibrant and livable and to working with city and state leaders, AARP staff, volunteers and partners to make that happen.”
