YMCA Critz Typee Run Fest

About the Event

The YMCA Critz Tybee Run Fest, a favorite event among locals and visitors alike, continues the longstanding tradition of the Tybee marathon.

This is the fourth year the race is hosted by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia whose youth-centered programming is the beneficiary of the weekend proceeds. The event will retain its format, where “Friday is the taste and Saturday is the test,” consisting of five races, for which runners can register in any combination they like; running all five events adds up to a 26.2-mile full marathon.

Schedule of Events:

Friday: The Taste
Kid's Run and 5K

Friday is the taste! The Kid's Run will start at 5:30 p.m. and the Chamacos Tacos & Surf 5K at 6:00 p.m.. There promises to be fun for the whole family! After the race, grab your finisher medal and enjoy food, snacks and beverages from our amazing sponsors. Awards will take place in the main tent following the 5K.

Friday: The VIP Experience Preview!

Treat yourself to the ultimate VIP experience at the 2025 YMCA Critz Tybee Run! Hosted by our friends at Savannah Magazine, the Saturday VIP Experience now includes a preview Friday night!  Enjoy a private lounge, assorted beers, water and Coke products. You'll be able to pick up your souvenir cup along with grab and go snacks to take back to your home away from home for the weekend. To add the VIP Experience to a race you're already registered for please logon to RunSignUp and select your race. The VIP Experience can be purchased in the race add-on section, from the online store or on the main race registration page!
