About the Event
It’s Thanksgiving weekend folks and time to relax, enjoy the holidays, family and music in The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s (SOSMP) Music Hall Friday and Saturday nights where two awesome bands will give you a chance to show off your dancing moves. Both bands bring tremendous music for your dancing and listening pleasure Friday night from 7-10 p.m. and Saturday night 8-11 p.m.!
Snake Blood Remedy band takes the Music Hall stage Friday night, Nov. 29, so you can dance off some of that Thanksgiving Day dinner and then Saturday night, Nov. 30, The River Rats band will own the stage where you can dance even more!
Snake Blood Remedy, playing country, bluegrass and other dancing music will start off the weekend Friday night with J. D. on vocals and guitar, Micky Lynn playing the clawhammer banjo, John Paul Jackson on bass and back -vocals, washboard by Willie Holstein, Abigail Gruber playing fiddle and Andre Gruber playing lead guitar! Now that is one great band of musicians! You are going to love this group so be sure to bring those dancing shoes!
Bringing Saturday nights’ music will be those awesome River Rats playing classic rock and great country music rocking the house! This band’s mission is to bring people together through the power of live music! Band founder Michael “Cookie” Cook, a former Suwannee Countian who left Live Oak and went to South Florida as a child then returned a few years ago, leads this exciting band.
