About the Event
Try some samples of hot chocolate before taking a walk through the history of Mission Espiritu Santo as lights and shadow transport you back in time, then try your hand at roping and see how candles were made!
Goliad State Park and Historic Site invites you to visit our “History in Lights” exhibit, which will run from 6pm to 10pm nightly throughout the month of December. Lights and shadows will tell the story of this remarkable site as visitors walk the same path taken by Native Americans and Spanish Franciscan priests so long ago.
we will have samples of hot chocolate available to taste different types through history, roping dummies will be lit up to try your hand at night roping, and we'll be demonstrating candle making. Join in the fun while you stroll the mission grounds!
We will wrap up hot chocolate, roping, and candle making at 8pm but visitors are welcome to enjoy the mission grounds until 10pm.
Park entrance fees apply- $4.00 per adult and free for children 12 & under.
