Join us at the Capitol for our Annual Lobby Day. Meet lawmakers, AARP leaders, and fellow advocates to discuss important issues for Kentuckians aged 50+.
What to Expect:
- Schedule one-on-one meetings with lawmakers
- Special issue and lobbying training sessions with AARP KY Volunteers & Staff (via Zoom)
- Opportunities to build relationships and raise awareness
2025 Priority Issues:
- Lowering prescription drug prices
- Supporting unpaid family caregivers
- Enhancing retirement benefits
- Securing funding for independent living
- Ensuring quality long-term care
- Supporting senior nutrition programs
- Making utilities affordable
